Catrice Greer is a 2021, Pushcart Prize Nominee.

In November 2020, she also served as Cheltenham Poetry Festival, Poet in Residence.

She is the former co-editor of Lapidus Magazine, in the writing for wellness and well-being community, Lapidus International, UK.

Ms. Greer is a Guest Editor for Ice Floe Press on the “WHAT WORK/WORLD OF WORK/WORK AND THE ANTHROPOCENE” literary submissions open call – An Ice Floe Project. (July 15, 2021 - October 31, 2021)

She is also a Guest contributor & Guest poetry reviewer in the Wolfpack, for Fevers of the Mind, a prolific literary blog that strives to amplify the voices of poets in the global literary community.

Catrice is the Talent Curator & Producer of the final segment of Friday Night Live - ‘THE POETRY CORNER’ - This segment showcases the spoken word, performance poetry, page poetry, talents of poets from all over the world. FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE is an online show live-cast on Facebook and YouTube from Limerick, Ireland. It is the brainchild of musician-singer/songwriter, show host, David Morrissey. Catrice and Dave work in partnership to make the show a success. FNL showcases music videos, live interviews of musicians, and live performances.

Catrice’s strong commitment to her Maryland literary community includes having previously served as a Maryland State Arts Council (MSAC) 2021 pre-regional and regional judge, and coach (2023 & 2024) for the literary arts program, Poetry Out Loud (POL). In addition, She commits her time to professional development with the MSAC, earning micro-credentials with the Maryland State Department of Education, (MSDE), and learning more skills in order to serve her artistic local and global community.


Ms. Greer earned a baccalaureate in English Literature at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), and also studied psychology.

She is a traditional poet for the page, and recitation, as well as a performance poet.
Catrice recites and performs as a featured literary artist virtually via poetry artist collectives in international virtual open mics.


Her performance pieces range from spoken word cadences to hybrid lyrical performances that weave poems, recitations, and songs. Her poetic work explores a wide range of topics about the human condition including mental health wellness, healing, sciences, nature, astronomy, transcendence, spirituality, identity, heritage, and cultural ancestry.

Ms. Greer maintains working relationships with local art collectives and international poetry arts organizations: Cheltenham Poetry Festival, Lapidus Scotland, and Lapidus Scotland International.

Catrice avidly supports mental health awareness, advocacy & wellness.

She shares poetic work that draws from human experiences in the world, small bits of her own life of healing, her formal academic education, and observations of life in order to educate and contribute to mental health advocacy, trauma-informed care awareness, healing, and address stigma.


Her intention is to help empower others to safely identify their feelings, feel seen, heard, amplify their own voices, and be co-creators and visionaries of their futures. She desires to help people to build an inner creative scaffolding that allows them to be co-healers in their own healing journeys while cultivating this through peace-centric therapeutic grounding methods of awareness.


Her commitment to mental health advocacy includes sharing her creative work with local mental health non-profits in her area and wellness-centered international organizations. On August 6, 2020, she partnered as a testimonial client with the Pro Bono Counseling Project on a WMAR TV segment aired to bring awareness about the WARMLine, a free mental health resource that offers support by phone for Marylanders during the Covid-19 pandemic. The WARMLine is funded via a grant by the United Way of Central Maryland.

Internationally, during the pandemic, Catrice has spent 2020 and 2021 as a regular writing participant and artist friend to the very well-structured, highly supportive environments of wellness for wellbeing writing-oriented programs via Lapidus Scotland and Lapidus Scotland International.


Ms. Greer often serves as a regular arts panelist in the artistically vibrant Silver Spring Town Center Arts Salons  (Maryland, USA). The Silver Spring Arts Salons are managed by, the brilliant Executive Director, Lisa Martin.

She has also contributed as an artist panelist with Nashville Interfaith Against Gun Violence (USA), and AWARE (USA) presented and hosted by Alexandria, Virginia, First Black Woman Poet Laureate, Kanikki Jakarta.

Catrice has also performed and curated in international artist/activist panel performances with Say it Louder, (UK) in partnership with  Stroud Against Racism. (Stroud UK),


Ms. Greer’s written poems are published in a number of international journals, local newspapers, and newsletters.

She is currently working towards publishing her first poetry collection.
