Donate

Have you heard my poetic work, narrations, or viewed an event I’ve curated?

Have you been wondering how to offer support?

If you appreciate my work, heard it at a reading or open mic, conference, or performance, please know that your donation, of any amount, helps to support me as an emerging professional artist and as a small business owner.

Why? Start-ups, especially small business start-ups, can be tough in the beginning stages. They require ample resources and support. Start-up capital can be very modest at best. However, I do utilize my time, talent, and energies wisely to best support myself and my emerging business. It’s important that I allow layers for levels of support and create space for the business to be supported as well. Running solely on my own steam blocks out the gift of connection with each of you and offerings of support from you. I welcome your generosity and am grateful.

Here’s how the generosity of your voluntary donations creates a positive impact for me as I mindfully navigate, skillfully build, and wisely manage my small business:

  • Your donation helps to supports the creation, funding, and publication of my first chapbook.

  • It contributes support to help manage my costs for social media PR and representation, all of which assist me in maintaining engagement.

  • It may also contribute support for any fees associated with acquiring ongoing professional development training as a literary artist and as a successful business owner.

(Lack of training can be an eventual obstacle to the long-term success of BIPOC entrepreneurship. Here is where these donations contribute to removing such a boundary for the potential of my own long-term success).

  • It contributes to helping support payment of journal submission fees for my work to be published more broadly in literary journals that require writers to pay these fees in order to submit our work to be considered for publication.

(Fee requirement can be an obstacle for BIPOC voices to be heard when incomes are meager and not able to meet these requirements with very little capital).

  • Referrals to poetry lovers, other professional creatives, venues, companies, Film & TV, publishing houses, publications, organizations, sponsors, and other reputable sources are all appreciated referrals. A thriving professional network of healthy associations where I am and my skills are respected and valued is essential to helping my business grow, flourish, and nurture new connections. (Domestic and international partnerships welcome)

  • Your patronage in these areas helps me build and support my business infrastructure. The result is that my work can be shared with many, I grow as a professional artist/businesswoman, and my business maintains successful longevity.

Any amount is helpful and greatly appreciated!

Thank you for your support.
